After reading the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst, students have the chance to express the way they feel when they have a bad day. They will make personal connections as well as develop empathy for characters in stories. Students will use oral discussion with groups of 4 or 5 students to help expand their ideas and details to enrich their writing.
