I Know My Shapes

Shapes are here, there, and everywhere! The collection is organized in such a way that the beginning resources introduce youngsters to various 2-D shapes. They identify, name, and draw these shapes before recognizing shapes in the real world. Use the included images and lessons to make classifying shapes, relevant to real life. The hands-on activities allow for manipulating tangrams and discovering new ways to make larger shapes. The last resources in the collection briefly introduce 3-D figures and their characteristics.
