Introducing Plain Language

Curated by ACT

This site by Plain Language Online states that plain language "begins with the needs of the reader," which will determine why and how the writer writes. It goes on to elaborate on audience and purpose, idea organization, use of appropriate words, sentences and paragraphs that are clear and simple, and the design of the writing. Throughout, helpful tips are provided, as are suggested activities. There is also a link for a checklist that summarizes the program.
