Nasa: Sedac: Urbanization and Human Settlements

[Free Registration/Login Required] A collection of twenty data sets from SEDAC (Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center) that examine urbanization in major metropolitan areas of the United States in the late 20th and the early 21st century, as well as rural-urban patterns of human settlement around the world. A few of the maps also look at the proximity of hazardous waste sites in the United States to urban populations to assess potential risk.
