Walking in nature is the theme of a unit designed to support English language development lessons. Scholars look, write, speak, and move to explore topics such as camping, woodland animals, instruments, bodies of water, things found at a park, and community helpers. While discovering topics, class members play games, read and write high frequency words, draw and label pictures, review reading comprehension strategies, categorize, make models, and write a paragraph. Moreover, pupils gain support in using compound words, concepts webs, antonyms, words that show position, bar graphs, and multiple meaning words, as well as how to write different types of sentences and add more detail to their writing.
