Overlapping Gaussians

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Adjust the overlap to compare probabilities. Using sliders, learners adjust the shape of two Gaussian curves. The interactive calculates the area of the left tail for one curve and the right tail for the other. Pupils set the interactive to simulate the results of a medical test and determine the probabilities of Type I and Type II errors.
