Because push-ups are part of most fitness-related tests, it is important that students practice push-ups and, in the process, improve upper body strength. Students able to do push-ups and able to "hold a push-up position for at least 30 seconds" can challenge themselves further by adding new movements to ordinary push-ups. Students shake hands and high five (with a partner) and carry out other motions while remaining in a push-up position.
