The Cold War Era 1949-1989: What Really Happened

This novel approach to a discussion of the Cold War can be a way to introduce the topic in your classroom. The presentation is supposed to be played in conjunction with the song "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel. It features lists of events and important people for different time periods. Using these lists, teachers could assign students independent research projects. The information could then be incorporated into the presentation.
