Lesson Planet has given me different perspectives about the age groups on many lessons. I have used it for teaching elementary students to multiply fractions using GCF and LCM, which to me is a natural progression but when you start there you finish stronger. Also, I had to teach "informational text" writing and didn't really have a clue to where to start, but Lesson Planet gave me a great road map. I started with explaining to the students the elements of informational text. Then, we worked with something that caught their interest, Esperanza Rising. It was a good place to end up with the informational text writing.
