Whose footprints are those? After reading Janet Halfmann's book, Little Skink's Tail, young scholars use footprints to determine where on a gridded map certain animals have been spotted. They use the map to answer 3 questions, one requiring use of the compass. The map is cut off on one page. In a tail-matching activity, students read information about how 7 animals use their tails, and then match pictures to the descriptions. You will need to label the pictures with letters.
