Curated by ACT

[Free Registration/Login may be required to access all resource tools.] In the following online tutorial students will define a solution and describe the parts of a solution. They will describe how an aqueous solution is formed from both ionic compounds and molecular compounds and explain the reasons why some compounds are insoluble in water. Students will write equations for the dissociation of ionic compounds in water and distinguish between strong electrolytes, weak electrolytes, and nonelectrolytes.
