Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson forces students to consider the fallacy of computing probabilities AFTER a series of events have occurred. Known as Texas sharpshooting, student will find that finding the probability of an event in such a way is useless, driven by a simulation on the graphing calculator in which students fire ten shots and THEN establish where a target should be.
