Texas Instruments: Numb3 Rs: Stylometry

Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson has students analyze two samples of writing to determine who is the author of a third piece of writing. While the actual statistics would be overwhelming for students, this lesson simplifies the problem to examining words per sentence and sentences per paragraph. Students should be familiar with creating box-and-whisker plots before beginning this lesson.
