Students create a spreadsheet and chart using data collected.  In this weather lesson, students select five cities from their state, including the city they live in.  Students take daily temperature readings from all five cities.  Students create a spreadsheet and chart that includes high and low temperatures, rainfall amounts, wind speed and direction as well as high and low tides if applicable.
